We are looking to appoint an Office Assistant to join our busy team of staff that are committed to supporting our college. The successful candidates will need to be efficient, customer focussed and able to work accurately, by providing general administrative support to the whole college community. They will also support the provision of a friendly and efficient reception service for the College as and when required and provide back-up first aid.

The hours of work will be part-time 25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year plus 5 staff training days, Monday to Friday, 11.30 am to 4.30 pm.

The pay band for the role is Scale 3 Mid (Point 5 to 6), and the actual salary for the roles will be £12,497.57 to £12,725.22 (under 5 years continuous service) and £12,665.32 to £12,896.03 (over 5 years continuous service).

Cover and Trips Manager

HOURS: 37 DEADLINE 25th Sep 23

We are looking to appoint a Cover and Trips Manager to join our College as soon as possible. The postholder will manage the cover and trips/visits arrangements within the college, manage cover supervisors and also provide cover for staff who are on short term absence. They will also be responsible for the administration, organisation and smooth running of teaching staff cover, trips and visits.

Due to the responsibilities of the role, the hours of work require a 7.30 am or earlier start to the day, and due to this the finishing time can be negotiable (i.e. finishing at 13.30 pm) and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total).

The pay band for the role is Scale 7 (scp 19 to 24), and the actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) if working 37 hours a week, is £23,877.72 to £26,780.69 (under 5 years’ service) or £24,198.23 to £27,109.33 (over 5 years’ service). If an earlier finish time is agreed then the salary will be amended accordingly.

Exam Invigilator

We are looking to appoint Exam Invigilators (may include reading and scribing) on an ad-hoc basis, to join our team, who support our examination processes. We are looking for individuals who:

·         are available to work Monday to Friday in February/March, May, June and July during exam times

·         are able to work individually and as part of a team

·         have good interpersonal skill and attention to detail

·         are able to follow all instructions including those set by the Exam Board

·         in particular the Reader/Scribe role requires a good level of literacy skills and legible handwriting

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, term time only, on an as and when needed basis.

The pay band for the role is Scale 2, point 3, which is £10.79 per hour, plus holiday pay.

Higher Learning Teacher Assistant (HLTA)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic HLTA to work with teachers as part of our professional team to support learning activities for classes, groups and/or to support students undertaking lessons delivered via remote learning or computer aided techniques. To also provide support to students across the college or support pupils with severe learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties. Provide support to students with: transition from primary school; transition from KS3 to KS4 through Pathways; transition from college to post-16 education. The successful candidates will need to have GCSE qualification grade C/level 5 or above, or equivalent, in English and maths. Additionally, the successful candidate will hold the L4 Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to achieve it within 12 months of appointment.

The pay band for the role is Scale 5 (scp 9 to 12), which is £23,194 to £24,496.

The hours of work for the role will be 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total), working between the hours of 08.55 am to 15.30 pm, with one afternoon working to 16.00 pm.

The actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) is £15,047.64 to £15,892.34 (under 5 years’ service) or £15,249.62 to £16,105.66 (over 5 years’ service).

Learning Support Assistant
