Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead / Pastoral Lead

HOURS: DEADLINE 29th Apr 24

We are looking to appoint a highly organised individual as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to assist the Assistant Principal in leading and managing safeguarding across the College. The individual will also provide effective leadership and support to provide quality pastoral care within a year group, and who will work effectively with our students, providing an empathic and positive manner in supporting them.  The successful candidate will ideally need to have a good pass in GCSE qualifications in English and Maths and it is essential that they have experience of working with secondary age students.

The pay band for the role is Scale 6 (scp 13 to 17), which is £26,873 to £28,770.

The hours of work for the role will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days and 1 week in school holidays (40 weeks in total).

The actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) is £23,605.36 to £25,271.69 (under 5 years’ service) or £23,914.60 to £25,602.76 (over 5 years’ service).
