St. Benedict’s College is fully committed to the ideals and principles of supporting those who wish to become teachers. We have considerable successful experience, stretching back over a number of years with a variety of training schemes and providers, of meeting the responsibilities of training teachers for the future. We were one of the partner schools central to the establishment of the local SCITT programme (Colchester Teacher Training Consortium) and, as such, work closely with other schools in the area. This also means that we have a number of dedicated and experienced mentors who work alongside prospective teachers.
