Year 9.
Students can opt for this subject at year 9 to set them up for the GCSE in year 10/11. Students work on mini projects that encourage them to think about the end user, they analyse work of designers with a view to develop their own design philosophy. Sustainabilty, recycling, re-use are at the forefront of discussion along with ergonomics and quality design.

Year 10 and 11.
Students follow the AQA new specification for product design building, developing and introducing new skills that will culminate in a final 60% coursework project and a 40% final exam.
Year 10 Students are currently developing MP3 speaker designs.
